Deadline diplomacy: Iran nuclear talks extended to July 10
  • 9 years ago
Nuclear talks between Iran and six major powers will be extended to Friday (July 10) to provide more time to reach a final agreement.

A spokesperson for the US delegation said “We’ve made substantial progress in every area, but this work is highly technical and high stakes for all of the countries involved.”

There is a question about the quality of time, meaning the extension is necessary

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the weapons embargo is the main sticking point in talks.

More to follow.
