High Flight

Boy! does that video bring back memories of late night television watching at signoff, I sure love that poem. "Touching the face of God" Sounds Kinda spiritual like.....

I still love this video, tho it's kitsch by now for most people. As a PSA for the Air Force 'High Flight' was replayed endlessly on TV into the early '70s. (I've never envied the camera pilot, tho---F-104s aren't terribly stable airplanes, so I wonder how many outtakes of near-midairs we never got to see.)

What great find! I too remember this as a kid...it is one of the things that I blame on my pilot's license.

This video use to put me to sleep every night. I had to find it, I did a web search and it almost brought me to tears, the memories of home. My mom would fall asleep and leave the tv on and I would here this beautiful poem.

Remember as a kid,used to stay up to watch this after the late movie was over,no matter how dead tired I was.Wish this was of a little better quality,but have never found a really good quality copy of it.
