Scientists caught a moment of magic when they videotaped a blue tit chick hatching as the egg was lying in the palm of a Szymon Drobniak‘s hand on Gotland island. The footage, courtesy of Polish researcher Szymon Drobniak of Jagiellonian University, shows the fragile baby bird crack open the shell and struggle its little pink body back and forth under the close up lens of the camera.
