Il y a quelques années on nous a présenté la maquette de l'église Saint Martin d' Oradour sur Glane dans l'état dans lequel les nazis l'avaient laissé après l'avoir incendié faisant 642 victimes.
Je fus profondément bouleversé à la vision de ces quelques photos, accentuant en moi l'impact émotionnel de ce massacre perpétré le 10 juin 1944.
Je tenais à rendre hommage aux victimes de ce village et exprimer avec cette composition mon ressenti à cette tragédie .
Some years ago we were introduced to the model of the church Saint Martin of Oradour sur Glane in the state in which the Nazis had left after being torched 642 victims.
I was deeply distressed with the vision of these pictures, accentuating in me the emotional impact of this massacre 10 June 1944.
I wanted to honor the victims of this village and express my feelings with this composition dedicated to this tragedy.
