Jeb Bush Calls Claims Of Scientific Consensus On Climate Change ‘Arrogant’

On Wednesday, Jeb Bush told attendees of a house party in New Hampshire that he felt claims of a scientific consensus on climate change were ‘arrogant.’

On Wednesday morning, while delivering the commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy, President Obama identified climate change as a potential threat to national security. 

Later that day, Jeb Bush told approximately 150 attendees of a house party in New Hampshire that he didn’t believe the science on the matter was clear. 

He characterized claims of a scientific consensus on climate change as being ‘arrogant’. 

Bush said that he doesn’t believe humans should be shouldering as much blame for the environmental situation as they are. 

He also asserted that recent declines in carbon emissions are not a result of the president’s efforts, but rather have occurred because of new drilling techniques and fracking.
