In Panchayat; Yashodha is blamed for missing Hariya’s daughter. She is considered as bad omen for the village. Yashoda talks about Vrat (Fast) and says she will keep it for three days and will have a kid by the end of the Vrat. Rajaji agrees to it and challenges her that if she does not have kid after three days then the villagers will throw her out of the village. Savitri and Leelavati gets angry about the whole Vrat but Yashoda has utmost faith in Mata Santoshi. She follows the Vrat rituals. Rajaji laughs and takes Yashoda’s Vrat as a joke. Yahsoda is unwell and weak because of the fast she is doing. Where as Leelavati tries tricks to break her fast before the period.

It is said that in Bhagvad Geeta, Lord Shri Krishna had assured the humankind that whenever the evil forces take over the earth, he will incarnate himself in a human form and take birth to destroy the evil forces and establish the rule of law. Aastha…Atoot Vishwas Ki Kahani depicts one such story of indestructible faith and devotion. Yashodha is a firm believer and follower of Santoshi Mata. She believes that Mata has bestowed blessings on her in form of her little daughter; Aastha whose life is destined by spiritual and divine powers to fight the evil and spread eternal bliss in the nowhere going era of Kalyug. The evil force in this story is symbolized by our main antagonist; Rajaji who is the self proclaimed God of Devipur and believes that he should be worshiped by everyone.
