A NYC subway death was avoided when three men rescued a fourth man who had fallen into the tracks in Manhattan. The incident occurred around 2:40 am in the Columbus Circle station. Matt Foley, Dennis Codrington, and Garret O'Hanlon were in the station when the unidentified man fell onto the tracks. O'Hanlon jumped down onto the tracks first, but struggled to lift the man by himself. Codrington then jumped down, followed by his friend Foley. The three were not able to lift the man completely onto the platform. Other commuters on the platform then helped to get the man over the edge. O'Hanlon was able to get up on the platform by himself, but Codrington and Foley needed help from other bystanders. The man was then rushed to New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.
