Gunman opens fire at Bush IAH; kills self

A Texas gunman opened fire at Bush Intercontinental Airport today before turning the gun on himself.

Carnell Moore, 29, of Beaumont, Texas, entered Terminal B of the Houston airport with a AR-15 rifle and a handgun. He fired two shots into the air. A worker in a fast food restaurant reported she saw him go through security the wrong way, and other shots were heard. A homeland security officer responded to the incident and fired at Moore. According to some reports, he missed initially.

Moore allegedly took out a handgun and shot himself at the same time the officer shot him. Police found a suicide note in Moore's backpack which stated "The monster within me is getting stronger". It is unclear what prompted Moore to act, but recent Facebook updates suggest the gunman was unhappy.
