Bank executive gunned down on Taft Avenue in Manila

A bank executive was shot dead by a gunman while driving to work on a busy road in the Manila on Thursday morning. Rosemarie Gatan was driving her SUV along Taft Avenue when a gunman on motorcycle approached her vehicle and shot her in the back of her neck. She managed to drive for about 200 metres before her car stopped when it hit a post across from the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters. She was taken to the Medical Center Manila hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Police are investigating the motive for the killing.
