Malaysia thieves rip ATM machine from bank
  • 9 years ago
Thieves stole an ATM machine from a bank in Malaysia's Johor Baru on Thursday night by using a vehicle to rip it out of the building.

According to the Star, several staff members recalled noticing a suspicious four-wheel-drive parked outside the bank for a few days prior to the heist. The robbers struck at around 1 am. They chained up the ATM machine that they thought contained the most money, and tied the chain to the back of their vehicle.

They then drove off in the car, ripping the ATM machine from its stand before loading it on the back and driving away. According to the Star, the bank has yet to determine how much money was in the ATM.
