Spanish firm offers space travel by balloon

A Spanish company plans to offer trips to near space in a high-tech balloon by 2015. Known as the 'bloon', the helium balloon can climb up to 36 km into the stratosphere. Passengers will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the Earth from a cabin attached beneath the balloon. The trip takes about six hours in total and is price-tagged at €110,000.

It was reported that test flights will begin in 2014. The company revealed that two people have already booked seats on the 'bloon', which is scheduled to begin in 2015.
