'I killed a man' admits Matthew Cordle in Youtube confession

In a sobering YouTube confession, Matthew Cordle took to the video site to admit he was responsible for the drunken driving death of a 61-year-old Navy veteran.

"I killed a man." Those are the words with which the 22-year-old, who until now stayed silent, begins his three and a half minute-long confession. His face is at first blurred and his voice initially altered.

The promotional video for non-profit web startup 'Because I Said I Would', see Cordle explain how he made the mistake to drive his truck home after drinking heavily with friends on the night of June 22.

The 22-year-old somehow managed to enter Columbus, Ohio's I-670 highway driving the wrong way and collided into Vincent Canzani's Jeep.

Canzani was pronounced dead at the scene and Cordle was transported to a nearby hospital.

Upon identifying himself at the end of the video and shedding the effects, Cordle reveals his plan to plead guilty to any charges related to the events of that fateful night.

Following his confession, Cordle could face up to eight years in prison if convicted. He ends the video with a plea begging viewers not to repeat his deadly mistake.
