Four Americans died in a small plane crash off the Bahamas' northernmost island on Sunday (November 10). Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

A single engine Cirrus SR22 aircraft with four occupants on board left Grand Bahama International Airport on a sightseeing flight plan at 11 a.m. The pilot, who was among the fatalities, radioed that the plane was "experiencing some engine problems" just minutes after the takeoff, according to reports. The plane then crashed into waters some seven miles off Grand Bahama shortly afterwards.

The aircraft was completely destroyed, and debris from the aircraft was seen floating on the Atlantic Ocean. Police have recovered bodies of the four occupants of the plane. There were no survivors. The names of the victims have not been released by police, but according to WISHTV, one of the victims was Indiana businessman Tony Wishart, the pilot of the plane.
