Two M79 grenades were fired at an anti-government rally in Bangkok on Thursday night (February 6). No one was reported injured.

Protesters from the People's Democratic Reform Committee were gathered at a rally stage on Chaeng Wattana road near a government complex when the grenade attacker struck at around 8:30 p.m.

The shots were reportedly fired from an overpass near the stage: one was directed at a medical tent, and the other at a women's bathroom.

This rally stage, under the leadership of Luang Pu Buddha Issara, is the only one located in the Bangkok's outskirts. A deputy permanent secretary of justice have been negotiating with the monk to clear the area so that state officials can return to work.

Shootings, bombings and injuries have been taking place at the rally sites throughout Bangkok. M79 grenades were also fired at another rally stage in Lat Phrao last week, forcing the protesters to relocate.
