Liam Humbles arrest video: Teenager sentenced to 24 years prison

Liam Humbles, the Australian teenager who shot and killed Lewis McPherson in Warradale in 2012, was sentenced to at least 24 years by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Humbles was severely intoxicated when he shot and killed one of three friends walking on their way to an Adelaide New Year's Eve party back in 2012. Humbles, whose name was previously unreleased, was found guilty of murdering Lewis McPherson, 18, and the attempted murder of Liam Trewartha and James Lamont.
The three were on their way to the party on December 31, 2012, when they ran into 17-year-old Humbles, an acquaintance, who fired at them while high on drugs and alcohol.
In the South Australian Supreme Court, Justice Michael David set a non-parole period of 24 years and two months, starting from January 2013 when Humbles was taken into custody. Justice David also lifted a suppression order on the teenager's name and image.
Humbles still says he has no memory of the shooting. Humbles also fired a shot a passing car that night.
At Humbles' sentencing hearing, shooting victim James Lamont stared at Humbles in the dock, telling him he had no idea of the misery and grief he had caused. "No one else in this room knows this besides you and me - Lewis never judged you for anything you did," he said. "He would often tell me you would some day be good to this earth."
The judge heard that Humbles was a regular user of alcohol and marijuana and couch-surfed after being kicked out of his family's house 10 months before the shooting.
