Angela Brower is a brave woman. She is posting pictures of her bruised and battered face after a horrific beating from her ex-boyfriend left her with a broken nose, eye socket, and cheekbone.
The 37-year-old Memphis, Tennessee native recently broke up with her boyfriend of six months after he became verbally and physically abusive toward her.
On May 18, he came over to retrieve his belongings. Instead, according to Brower, he attacked her and punched her in the face so hard that she was knocked out. She came to, only to find the man was still beating her.
I made a mistake and I took him back, and everything was okay for a little while," she said. "If you have never been there, you can't understand why people go back."
She uploaded the graphic pictures to remind everyone of the reality of domestic violence.
She has undergone reconstructive surgery to repair her face but says it will take some time to get through the emotional and mental pain.
