RIP: Priest hailed as 'outstanding' shot and killed inside Phoenix Catholic Church

Two Catholic priests in Phoenix, Arizona were shot by suspected robbers on Wednesday night.
Reverends Kenneth Walker and Joseph Terra were inside the Mother of Mercy Mission Catholic Church in Phoenix on the night of June 11, when they somehow discovered two suspected burglars.
Little is known about what happened during the encounter between the thieves and the priests, but at about 9 p.m., Father Terra called 911 to report gunshots at the church.
Father Walker, 29, died at hospital from a fatal gunshot while Father Terra, 56, was left in critical condition.
Police believe the robbers then stole the church's green Mazda SUV which they used to escape.
The vehicle was later found abandoned and police are searching it for clues as they hunt for the killers.
Father Walker had become a priest just two years ago.
Phoenix parishioners described both priests as 'outstanding individuals'.
