Parent killed by child: Teen beats father to death, stuffs body in compost bin

A 16-year-old in Tacoma, Washington, beat his dad to death with a cane, and then called 911 one week later to confess.
Rylan Salzman says he and his dad were drinking and got into an altercation. He says his dad shoved him and that he had a cane in his hand at the time and started hitting him.
Rylan then hid the body in a wooden box with the compost in the backyard and says he waited a week so that he could spend more time with his mom and sister before turning himself in.
His court appearance is set for July 16. He is being tried as an adult and following his arraignment he is being held on one million dollars bail. Police say his father's body was beat so badly, they needed to use dental records to identify him.
