Texas fireworks explosion: one killed, three injured in Comanche

A deadly pyrotechnics accident took the life of a doctor in central Texas on Thursday (July 3) morning.
According to NBC 5 News, the explosion occurred near a baseball field adjacent to a high school in Comanche, Texas. Some members of Kiwanis Club were preparing for fireworks celebration that was due to take place on Friday night. A trailer holding most of the fireworks suddenly exploded around 9:00 a.m. It is not immediately clear what triggered the explosion.
The person who was confirmed dead has been identified as Dr. Russell Reynolds, a local chiropractor and member of the Kiwanis Club. One of the injured was transferred to a burn unit and two others were treated and released, NBC 5 News reported.
