Palestine: Gaza Marks World Press Freedom Day

Hundreds of journalists participated in an event organized by the Palestinian Press House in Gaza to mark World Press Freedom Day. Palestinian journalists were commended for their achievements in covering last summer's Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip. Speakers also sent messages of solidarity to the families of 14 Palestinian journalists who were killed in the two-month-long military assault. Twenty Palestinian journalists are currently being held in Israeli jails. On Saturday, several Palestinian journalists were injured in a demonstration in the occupied West Bank by Israeli troops firing tear gas and stun grenades. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza. teleSUR.
