The band derived its name from a Japanese video game console called Tricotronic. Tocotronic doesn't play electronic music, but indie rock - with much success. Their albums regularly land high in the charts and are a favorite with critics. Now they've released their eleventh album. "Das rote Album" is all about love and shows off the pop side of the Hamburg-based band.
