The national service of geology and mining (Sernageomin) of Chile said the alert red eruption of Calbuco volcano, in the Los Lagos region.
The national service of geology and mining (Sernageomin) has decreed alert red by the eruption of the volcano in Chile Calbuco. The national Office of emergencies (Onemi) has ordered the evacuation of all the towns near the volcano in a radius of 20 kilometres.
There were two eruptions of Calbuco volcano, while maintaining the alert red. About 4,400 people have been evacuated from their homes by the eruption, the first in more than 40 years.
Wednesday was declared a curfew and up to 5: 00 (local time) in Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas and Puerto Octay from 2345.
