Chewing Tobacco Likely To Be Banned At San Francisco Ballparks

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has recently voted to ban chewing tobacco from its ballparks and other locations where sports are played; the measure faces a final vote before it becomes official.

Chewing tobacco may become a thing of the past at San Francisco sports venues. 


The Board of Supervisors recently decided in a unanimous vote to ban the substance from the city’s playing fields, parks, and stadiums. 


The main target was baseball which is known for its long tradition of players using chewing tobacco.
