Earliest live recording of the 13th Floor Elevators, You're Gonna Miss Me

Broadcast live on KAZZ, Austin, TX from the New Orleans Club on 2/22/66, this is part of the earliest known recording of the 13th Floor Elevators to exist. See my channel (I’m jefffro1000 on youtube) for the full broadcast. This is over 4 minutes of absolute pure excitement. Their live shows are legendary, though no non-lip-synced video exists. At this time, the lineup was Roky Erickson (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Tommy Hall (electric jug), Stacy Sutherland (lead guitar), John Ike Walton (drums), and Benny Thurman (bass). Soon, Ronny Leatherman would take over on bass & record their first album, Psychedelic Sounds for the International Artists label in Houston, with the rest of the band.
