Lonely man finds live-in lover who demands to be paid and then alleges rape

We’re not entirely sure who was the predator and who was the prey in this particular story.
A man in Taiwan’s capital, Taipei had recently divorced from his wife, was having drinks with some friends sometime in July when he spotted a woman at the bar.
The 49-year-old, identified in reports only by his surname, Lin, commented that he thought the woman had great ‘assets’ and his friends apparently encouraged him to go hit on her.
After offering her his business card, along with an oh-so-original pick up line: “If you’re ever lonely you can call me” the game was on!
The woman, a 39-year-old, identified as a Ms. Wu, called him the next day and after a brief back and forth, asked if Mr. Lin would like her to move in with him, to *ahem* keep him company.
Mr. Lin figured if he offered her free room and board, she’d be willing to pay him back in sex. So, with this in mind, he agreed and helped her move in.
Things began to deteriorate when Ms. Wu agreed to have sex with Mr. Lin but only at a price, US100 dollars for each session. Mr. Lin agreed to the price and was US900 dollars poorer by the end of the week.
Lin eventually discovered she’d also been stealing from him and decided that he’d had enough and that this presumed easy target had been a lot tougher than he’d bargained for, so he demanded that she move out. Ms. Wu fired back that he’d have to pay her to move out, since she would need to stay somewhere else before she could find an apartment, and demanded US300 dollars.
Mr. Lin refused and Ms. Wu threatened to report him to the police for rape.
Unsurprisingly, Ms. Wu was the one who eventually wound up arrested. She was removed from Mr. Lin’s home and now faces up to 15 years in jail for solicitation, theft and making false rape accusations.
Remember, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
