Zookeeper trampled by rhino: keeper still alive after run in with two-ton a greater one-horned rhino

A zookeeper in England who was seriously injured after getting trampled by a two-ton rhino is in stable condition after surgery, the has confirmed.
The unidentified man, in his 50s, was discovered in the water in the rhino enclosure at Whipsnade Zoo at 8:15 a.m. with injuries to his chest, abdomen and pelvis.
It is believed the zookeeper was feeding the animals inside the Asian rhino enclosure at the zoo in the Dunstable area of Bedfordshire when a greater one-horned rhino, believed to be named Ajang, suddenly turned on him.
Ajang trampled and stamped on him before leaving him immersed in a wallowing pool. Colleagues ran in and helped him get out of the water.
The zookeeper was treated at the scene by paramedics and was given “enhanced pain relief” before being transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further treatment.
An investigation is underway to find out happened. Doctors said the man is now out of surgery and his condition is stable.
