Road raging cop: Houston officer jailed for shooting woman in the head because she honked at him

Kenneth Caplan, a Precinct 6 reserve deputy constable for Harris County, Texas, is behind bars after shooting a woman in the head in an alleged act of road rage.
The 20-year-old unidentified woman survived the shooting, but spent three days in the hospital and received eight staples to her head.
According to reports, the woman was driving in the right-hand lane of Interstate 610 in Houston when someone in a small blue car cut her off.
She reportedly honked and drove around the car, but the driver -- later identified as Caplan -- caught up with her soon after.
She told a local news station that she “made eye contact” with Caplan as he rolled down his window and pointed his gun at her. A woman was reportedly in Caplan’s passenger seat and she leaned back as he fired his gun.
The bullet broke through the woman’s window and grazed the left side of her head. She said she was able to pull over to the left side of the highway and call 9-1-1. She was taken to a nearby hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Caplan faces charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
