An underwhelming hipster from Norwich, England just turned himself into an overnight internet sensation after creating the “Help Tom to fund love” campaign on Indiegogo.com

The campaign -- which was closed after just two days -- raised £227 (about $340) toward sending Tom Packer on 13 extravagant dates to “impress the ladies.”

Along with a love chart and a plea for £1300, Tom’s online campaign also featured a Youtube video that showed Tom sitting on park benches, journaling in a cafe and reciting a love poem.

The “extra perks” listed on Tom’s campaign page were as follows:

£10: A signed photo of Tom’s face and diary updates.

£100: A guaranteed date with Tom: “I will meet you in London and take you out on one of my 13 dates. You could be The One. Travel to London not included.”

£500: A date and a poem. That is one pricey poem.
After closing the campaign, Tom wrote on his Facebook wall: “Well… that was a crazy 48 hours.”
