Dead body found in well: Missing woman found dead in Perry Pruitt's well in Anderson, SC

The remains of a Patricia Freeman were found at the bottom of her boyfriend's well on Saturday after neighbors in Anderson, South Carolina noticed a funk coming from the water.
When Tomy Johnson moved into a mobile home next to Perry Thomas Pruitt, he never would have guessed that human remains would be found in his water supply.
The discovery of the body came about after Johnson noticed a strange smell coming from his water. When he asked Pruitt for a water sample to test, Pruitt became upset. Pruitt then locked the well shut and cut off the water supply.
Johnson called the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, hoping they might help him find out what was up with his funky water. At the bottom of the 40-foot well, they found the body of Patricia Freeman who hadn't been seen since September.
Police removed Freeman's decaying body and also discovered bleach & mothballs in the water below.
Freeman's neck had been broken. An autopsy report on the corpse came back inconclusive. A pathologist is trying to determine if Freeman died before or after she was placed in the well.
Pruitt is being held on a $50,000 bond on a charge of unauthorized removal of a dead body. That charge only carries a $1,000 fine and 60 days in jail.
