High school failed murder plot: Five Tucson, Arizona teens conspired to kill fellow student

Five teens from Flowing Wells High in Tucson, Arizona, were arrested Wednesday night for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

The five students, an 18-year-old boy, two 17-year-old girls and two 15-year-old boys, were having problems with a male student in their friend group. The five decided to kill their classmate, you know, the way normal people sort out their interpersonal issues. They began plotting how to kill him during their lunch breaks.

During their last meeting, the five decided to bring a weapon to school. They also decided that the murder would take place at an undisclosed location off campus.

Another student at the high school found out about their plans and tipped off school administrators about the alleged murder plot. School staff then confronted Gibson and found a knife in his possession.

All five students will be charged as adults despite the fact that all are minors with the exception of Gibson.
