A woman in the central Taiwanese city of Taichung jumped from the 24th floor of her building in an attempt to commit suicide.

Unfortunately, she landed on the building extension of the apartment complex next to her own. A 911 call was made and firefighters used a cherry picker basket to reach the roof of the building extension.

They were greeted by the woman who calmly told them she’d jumped from the 24th floor of the neighboring building and that she couldn’t feel her legs. Shocked firefighters carefully moved her to the ground level where paramedics were waiting. The woman was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.
