Florida wildlife officials are hunting down a group of men who picked up an owl and took it for a drive.

The hunt began after footage of a man driving his car with an owl on his lap was posted online.

The owl in question is a Great Horned Owl, a protected species.

So naturally, the people over at Florida Fish and Wildlife and the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary are a little concerned, especially as Johnny Duverson, the fool who posted the video to his Facebook page, wrote that he and his friends were going to "eat it up."

One would presume that the police may also be interested in talking to the men as they confessed to being high and drunk while in control of a vehicle.
