4th Graders' Bird Bill Shot Down By Politicians
  • 9 years ago
To learn about civics, a 4th grade class from Lincoln Akerman School in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire drafted a bill proposing to make the Red Tailed Hawk the official state raptor. Well, this week, when the bill reached the floor of the state legislature, they ripped it apart like a red tailed hawk eating a chipmunk. Before voting it down, the state politicians openly mocked it, complained about it, and even injected their own gross politics into the argument, all in front of a crushed group of 4th graders.
