Sugar mills get IT notice for paying cane prices above FRP, owners upset - Tv9 Gujarati

Navsari: The income-tax department has served notices on sugar mills for paying cane price over and above the fair and remunerative price (FRP) fixed by the government. Agitation is seen among cane farmers due to depressed prices of the sweetener locally and globally which directly threatens the survival of many sugar mills.
