Facing rising public outcry and pressure from Opposition, the Siddaramaiah government today recommended a CBI probe into the mysterious death of upright IAS officer D K Ravi and asserted that it never intended to hush up the case or protect anyone. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the decision in the Assembly, saying it was being done "respecting the feelings of Ravi's parents and public". There have been state-wide protests demanding a CBI probe into the death of 35-year old D K Ravi with Opposition gunning for the Chief Minister and even the Congress central leadership nudging him.

In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies, Karnataka; Siddharth Nath Singh, National Secretary, BJP; Dr.Dominic F Dikson, Psychologist & Activist for Civil Liberties; Sanjay Bhoos Reddy, President, IAS Officer Association; Sunil Alagh, Chairman, S K A Advisors and Sanjay Pinto, Lawyer & Columnist -- discuss whether it is too late for a CBI probe in DK Ravi's death case.
