Larry Santos - You're My Friend
“You’re My Friend” is a Christian-flavored pop song, written by Larry Santos, Carol Connors, David Shire, Diane Warren, Burt Bacharach, Charles Calello, Albert Hammond and Hal David and first recorded by George Stewart in 1982 from his second album, “Father’s Love Letter”. It is mainly all about a man traveling from shore to shore everywhere all over the globe, both far and wide searching to find a friend in Jesus and then to love Him, when the opening line says: “Hey, Jesus, it’s good to be with You again.”

25 years later Larry Santos himself performed his own version of the same song with different alternate lyrics on piano live on stage with his sidekick, Seymour, the puppet, taken from “The Hot Fudge Comin’ Atcha Concert” as a special presentation, featured memories of the program interspersed with clips from the series, aired on Wednesday December 5, 2007.
