San Diego Zoo's Avian Propagation Center is now home to a pair of young, rare Dalmatian pelicans. One is almost 2 weeks in age while the other is only 4 days old.
San Diego Zoo's Avian Propagation Center is now home to a pair of young, rare Dalmatian pelicans. One is almost 2 weeks old while the other is only 4 days old. The two were sent to the center from San Diego Zoo Safari Park - the facility that abruptly took over their care after their parents couldn't raise them properly following the hatchings.
For the next two months, they'll remains at the San Diego Zoo, where keepers will continue to watch over and hand raise the chicks. After that, they should be healthy and
