OAS meets amid need for major changes

The Organization of American States met yesterday in Washington where the regional body elected former Uruguay Foreign Minister Luis Almagro as its new secretary general. Many regional leaders feel Almagro's unopposed election could present an opportunity to introduce a much needed transformation and breathe new life into the OAS. Almagro takes office on May 25 and his term will last for five years. Alexandra Hall reports from Washington. teleSUR
