Video Montage Shows Holuhraun Lava Field Evolution Over Six Months

Iceland’s Holuhraun lava field has been active for the past couple months, spewing lava and ash dramatically into the air. Helicopter pilot Gisli Gislason captured this stunning aerial video of plumes of ash, smoke and gas spewing from the lava field in the Holuhraun area from August to February, and the change in the surrounding area over those months is easy to see.
