'National Science Day' celebrations in Ahmedabad - Tv9 Gujarati

Ahmedabad: The National Science Day (NSD) is celebrated every year on 28th February to mark the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’, for which a Nobel Prize winning research paper submitted by Sir C.V. Raman was accepted on that day. The event was held at Scout Bhavan in Paldi area of the city. In total, 273 schools took part in the event and 400 students of standard 6, 7 and 8 presented their experiments practically. Around 1200 students witnessed the event in the city. Mayor Meenaxiben Patel and School Board Chairman Jagdish Bhavsar appreciated efforts of students.
