When they get to the ancient town of Dalyan, climbers Caroline Ciavaldini and James Pearson take a few days off from climbing to soak up the history and culture of the Muğla province of Turkey. From Lycian rock tombs carved into the sides of cliffs, to the ruins of cities that predate Christ, and even a quick cooking course, the intrepid duo are glad for a bit of R & R.

But they can't keep themselves away from the rock for long. The region is loaded with overhanging limestone cliffs and caves that drip with some of the most fricticious, danglicious tufas on the planet. This is climbing in three dimensions - Caroline and James are loving it.
