Joe Rogan is an arsehole, whats the point having this discussion if your not gonna let the other guy get a word in. 'Boxing is getting swallowed'? Really?? Did UFC100 match upto Mayweather v Oscar de la hoya?? The UFC are doing really well, very entertaining and at the moment has alot to offer. But it will never ever even compete with boxing as a whole. Brock lesnar isnt gonna get 20 mill per fight anytime soon. watching barrera, morales, mayweather is a class apart
i love boxing,i love to box,but MMA is just a more complete more exciting fighting medium, lou dibella is obviously a little under informed and a little prejudiced, i dont know if boxing will die out but if it lives it will be in MMA`s shadow
I'm a huge boxing and MMA fan, but Lou is right in the sense that's it's apples and oranges. Each sport have there own fan base, and each will go through it's up's and down's. Boxing has been around for over 100 years, so for Joe to say it's going to die, is a little silly. Here is the reality, UFC is the ONLY MMA promotion that is profitable, and that's largely due to TUF. The UFC has done a great job in there promotions, but the problem I see is they only compete with the roster they have. UFC has only 19 Heavyweights under contract, and are wishing on a lucky star that Brock will propel them to the next level, but then what? Just like boxing, both sports needs that mar-key Heavyweight to sell.
that lou dibella is a dick he obviously hasnt even taken the time to sit down and watch mma before hes judged it Joe Rogan kicked his ass. TRUE FIGHT FANS KNOW THE U.F.C IS EASILY THE BEST AND MOST EXITING FIGHT SPORT THERE WILL EVER BE! Unless we bring back that Salute Of The Jugga Gladiator shit.
Look what happened to butterbean when he stepped into pride.Got whooped.and its not saying Chuck vs Maywheather idiots. When boxers can use mma gloves and not pillows on their hands then talk about whos better. I say put the champs of each weight class and let them have 1 match of MMA then boxing. even playing feild.
i have watched and loved boxing since the early 80's but i have to admit that it is dead. it just cannot compete anymore with the exciting world of MMA
