BMW's new front-wheel-drive 2-series Active Tourer gave the engineers a new challenge: they had to find a way to build a front-wheel-drive car with a transverse engine layout, using the x-Drive-System. Thanks to light, compact components, this all-rounder's entire all-wheel-drive system weighs in at just 61 kilos.
