Amtrak's Sunset Limited, Bellaire Crossing 4/6/07 (Part 1)

Despite the day I had, I was able to time train #1 at this crossing perfectly. Unfortunately, this would turn into one more thing that would go wrong for me. As you'll see, I had a friend with me and their question came at the wrong time...and then my camera went kaput right at the second engine. So...presented are the two engines of the consist, P42s 64 and 40, and the extremely quiet grade crossing arms along with the absence of the horn (again, stupid regulation now in effect on this branch line).
On the plus side, I found the right lighting...just need to distance myself a little now so that the sound doesn't cut out. (more) (less)
