COS "Postaeolian Train Robbery"1974 Belgium Jazz Funk Fusion
COS was a band from Belgium, and are regarded as the Belgian response ZAO (France), although their music also found similarities with Hatfield And The North, National Health, and to a lesser extent, Magma. This band also fades and belies the assumption that the progressive rock scene canterbury is exclusively English, because his style is very attached to the genre, albeit more Avant-Garde, much less psychedelic. Each disc Cos is a different musical adventure, although some notable trends have a very elegant jazz, soft rock and very quiet, and plenty experimentation, through the incorporation of very modern and trendy details for its time, as certain electronic trances, some very atypical rhythms and delicate yet strangely singing vocalist, Pascale Son. Her husband, and at the same time, leading Cos, is the flutist and guitarist Daniel Schell.
Postaeolian Train Robbery is the debut of these Belgian musicians, and is frequently cited as one of its highest points, it is an album of soft and melodic guitar playing, with great vowel paper and a multi-purpose keyboard which is used for setting, for electronic, or attributable jazz or blues tones management. The proposal is original at all times, and added to its audible character is presented as a stylistic blend smart, innovative, comprehensive and quite refined. Recommended not only if you like the canterbury music but for anyone wanting to hear one of the best groups that has given Belgium.
