French police thank citizens for their support

In this edition: French police thank the public for their support; controversy over a suggestion the UK is about to ban encryption; and visiting Boston from the comfort of your own home.
FRENCH POLICE THANK CITIZENS FOR THEIR SUPPORT
With Ahmed Merabet, Franck Brinsolaro and Clarissa Jean-Philippe - the three police officers killed in last week's terror attacks in Paris - honoured by French president François Hollande in a sombre and emotional ceremony on Tuesday, the official Twitter and Facebook pages for France's national police force now display a message thanking the people of France for their support.
The post is followed by drawings sent in by the public, hailing the police for their bravery and professionalism during the terrible events that rocked France between the 7th and 9th of January, and paying tribute to those who died trying to save the lives of their fellow citizens.
The Police Nationale has also praised security forces across the globe, from countries including the United States, Mexico, England, Spain and also Scotland amongst others for their messages of support and the rallies they staged in solidarity with their colleagues in France.
And as the police force says via Twitter, this massive wave of solidarity has made them more determined than ever to ensure the safety and security of the people of France.
