Yearbook Photo on Flask Prompts Lawsuit
A woman in New Mexico is suing a novelty company after they put her high school yearbook photo on a flask. Veronica Vigil is an upstanding citizen in Santa Fe who does not drink, so imagine her surprise when her daughter found a flask with her photo from Pojoaque High School’s class of 1970 yearbook. The flask reads: “I’m going to be the most popular girl in rehab.” Now, Ms. Vigil is suing Anne Taintor Inc., the Brooklyn-based company who makes the flask, for defamation, invasion of privacy, and unfair trade practices.
