Pope leads Epiphany Mass at Vatican

Signifying the end of the festive Christmas season, The Epiphany or Three Kings Day... observed at St. Peter's Basilica in the grace of Pope Francis.

This mass is just one of many around the world, as millions of Christian's mark the day the Three Wise Men visited the baby Jesus.

Turning to present day, the pope told the congregation that, in difficult times, one can look to God for guidance.

(SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS, SAYING:

"All around us we see wars, the exploitation of children, torture, trafficking in arms, trafficking in persons… In all these realities, in these, the least of our brothers and sisters who are enduring these difficult situations, there is Jesus. The crib points us to a different path from the one cherished by the thinking of this world: it is the path of God's self-abasement, the humility of God's love which descends on us."
