Iraqi forces retake area west of Baghdad from Islamic State

The silence of the video doesn't convey the fighting that's been happening in Anbar province.

The Iraqi military released video saying its Rapid Reaction Forces and Shi'ite volunteers have flushed out Islamic State militants during a two-day-long operation.

It says troops have regained control of an area that's considered the western Sunni heartland of Anbar.

It was a multi-pronged attack, the government says, on a complex the Islamic State had control of, using it for making bombs and booby-trapped cars.

The military says troops killed more than 100 militants of different nationalities including a local militant commander.
