Jane Fonda’s Workout Videos Make A Comeback

Jane Fonda’s popular workout videos will soon be released on DVD.

If you miss the days of working out in high-cut leotards and shiny leggings, get ready to rejoice because Jane Fonda’s popular exercise videos will soon be available again.

Come January 6th people will have the opportunity to relive the 80s and 90s via the classic aerobics routines, with five of her most popular tapes being sold on DVD and via digital download.

Back in the day they were all on VHS, and the first one hit the shelves in 1982.

23 more followed and combined the tapes sold a whopping 17 million copies.

Many never gave up on them, but sadly, as Jane Fonda has pointed out, others had no choice but to move on.

The actress and fitness guru said, "Hundreds of people have lost the VHS, it tore, it ripped, someone borrowed it and didn’t return it, people don’t have VCR players anymore…all kinds of reasons. People say ‘Please, please, please, nothing works for me like your original workouts.’"

While she admits the appeal of watching just to get a look at oh-so-80s outfits and hairstyles, Fonda believes the routines are still relevant.

Among those who reportedly agree is the creator of Zumba, who according to Fonda was inspired by her exercise program when putting together his own.
